We know adolescence can be a challenging time for young people and wellbeing is at the foundation of academic achievement. We also live in an online world with so many amazing resources at our finger tips. Here are some of my favourite wellbeing websites for both you and your students.
Biteback is the youth version of Black Dog Institute. I personally love the positive psychology philosophy of its Mental Fitness page. This includes activities in mindfulness, gratitude, flow, savouring and more.
Reachout.com continue to evolve and grow to meet the needs and questions young people have. With its safe chat room where students can connect and its excellent apps and games, this website has it all for senior students.
3. YOUTH BEYOND BLUE
Youth Beyond Blue has been specifically tailored to suit young people. It has great interactive quizes and games with advice on how to help friends in need as well.
Smiling mind is a free app offering programs in meditation for young people, teen and adults. Meditations range from 1min up to 15min with great youtube resources to explain the why and how of mindfulness
