Is it enough?

Do you believe that what you’re doing at work is enough?

When “Not Enough” Becomes the Background Noise

We often talk about wanting to feel valued and appreciated at work — and rightly so.
But here’s a tough question to sit with:

Even if someone told you you’re doing a great job… would you believe them?
Or would that inner voice kick in?
The one that whispers, “You could’ve done more. You should’ve done better. You’re not enough.”

This is the quiet hum of not enoughness.
And for many teachers, it’s become the soundtrack of our working lives.

You show up early. Stay late. Pour your heart into your students.
But instead of feeling proud, you feel guilty for the one parent email you haven’t answered or the lesson that didn’t land.

Here’s what happens when not enoughness takes over:
🚫 We dismiss praise.
🚫 We downplay our impact.
🚫 We tie our worth to productivity.

And over time?
We burn out — not just from doing too much, but from never letting ourselves feel enough.

But here’s the truth:
💥 You don’t have to be perfect to be appreciated.
💥 You don’t have to do it all to be enough.
💥 You don’t have to earn your worth through exhaustion.

You are already enough. Right now. As you are.

So today, instead of chasing one more thing to prove your value, pause.
Acknowledge what you’ve already done.
Let that be enough.

With care,
